How to Bypass Install Windows Media Player 11

Here is my guide in installing Windows Media Player 11 without having to go through that annoying Genuine Windows Validation (WGA) check.

Here’s a step by step tutorial:

Step 1:
Download the Windows Media Player 11 installer from here:

Step 2:
Extract the contents of wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe. Here we use WinRAR .

If you are using WinRaR,

a. Select the downloaded wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe, Right click, then -> Extract files…

b. Click on the OK button.

c. open the wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu folder.

Step 3:
Find and Run the wmfdist11.exe file.

Step 4:
Restart the computer.

Step 5:
Go to the wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu folder again and run the wmp11.exe file.

Step 6:
Restart the computer.

And there you have it, you have installed Windows Media Player 11 without having to go through that annoying Genuine Windows Validation (WGA) check.
